» Packed bed Demineralisers Our latest offering
Packed bed Demineralisers are appropriately named, since the resin bed is "packed" with very little freeboard space. The resin bed is not fluidised during any part of the service or regeneration cycle, and there is no full-expansion backwash step. Instead, filtering the influent minimises the requirement for backwash. Most packed bed systems require transfer of the resin to an external tank for cleaning if the resin becomes fouled with solids.

This technology offers significant regenerant and wastewater reductions and cost savings as compared to conventional co-current and counter-current demineralisers. Packed bed Demineralisers operate in a counter-flow manner, with upflow service and downflow regeneration or visa-versa.

» Advantages of Packed Bed Technology over conventional co-current & counter-current    demineralizers

 Higher regeneration efficiencies
Shorter regeneration times

 Lower regenerant usage
Lower waste effluent production

Higher effluent quality
 Lower life-cycle costs

Lower rinse water usage
More efficient use of space in the plant
